Foundation International Student Scholarships. These scholarships are obtainable for
undergraduates and graduate learners.
The scholarships are offered by organizations, companies, and a multitude, as well as the
Rainbow International Student Fund, to sponsor transnational learners registered in universities in the Fukuoka metropolitan area. Scholarships are planned to ameliorate economic responsibilities so that scholars may concentrate on their studies.

There are three (3) types of scholarships, “The Yokatopia Scholarship for International
Students”, “The Future Development Scholarship for International Students”, and “The Fukuoka City International Foundation Scholarship”.
- The Yokatopia Scholarship for International Students (comprises work experience opportunity):
This scholarship is for transnational learners who hope to work in Fukuoka. It comes with a work experience opportunity at a provincial company. - Future Development Scholarship for International Students: It is offered by corporations,
institutions, and individuals, and authorizes the scholarship providers to fulfill the learners face to face. - Fukuoka City International Foundation Scholarship: You can obtain the scholarship for two years if you are a graduate learner (Master, or four years if you are an undergraduate scholar).
Qualifications Measures
To be qualified for Fukuoka City Foundation International Student Scholarships, candidates are anticipated to fulfill the subsequent conditions:
- Candidates for Yokatopia Scholarship for International Students: Postgraduate learners or undergraduate learners in their second year or above, who are registered at a university in the Fukuoka Metropolitan Area and whose total obtained scholarship amount, comprising this scholarship, does not transcend the amount of the MEXT (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship.
- Candidates for Future Development Scholarship for International Students: Learners who are registered at a university in Fukuoka Metropolitan Area and whose whole obtained scholarship amount, comprising this scholarship, does not transcend the amount of the MEXT (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship, etc.
- Recipients for Fukuoka City International Foundation Scholarship: Those who register in the subsequent universities:
Kyushu University, Fukuoka Women’s University, Kyushu Sangyo University, Seinan Gakui University, Nakamura Gakuen University, Fukuoka University, Fukuoka Institute of Technology, Fukuoka Jo Gakuin University (Undergraduate learners or graduate scholars) - The total amount of the scholarship does not transcend the amount of the MEXT
(Monbukagakusho) Scholarship. - A person who carries at least N3 of JLPT or has an equivalent level of N3 Japanese ability

their universities/institutions.
