MATSUMAE International Foundation Research Fellowship Program 2023-2024

The 2023-2024 academic session MATSUMAE International Foundation Research Fellowship Program application is currently ongoing and all interested and qualified students are invited to submit their applications before the deadline.

The Fellowship will take effect as planned in the grant letter, and it cannot be amended. The students described in the grant letter are the only eligible students. The shortlisted students will be allowed to have research activities in Japan while their living expenses are covered.

MATSUMAE International Foundation Research Fellowship Program Eligibility Criteria

Interested students must have gotten an acceptance letter from the host University.

Interested students must possess a Ph.D.

Interested students must not be above 49 years old.

Interested students must have knowledge of English or the Japanese language.

Interested students must not have lived in Japan.

Interested students must have an occupation in their various countries, return there after completing their fellowship program, and should contribute to the development of their home countries.

MATSUMAE International Foundation Research Fellowship Program Benefits

The Foundation invites successful students to partake in a study tour during their fellowship program to widen their knowledge of Japan.

JPY 120,000 towards the costs of living in Japan.

It offers Round-trip economy class airfare.

It offers a death benefit.

It offers travel insurance as well as medical treatment.

All applicants are encouraged to download and fill out the application form accordingly.

All applicants are encouraged to attach the ID photograph they have taken within the past three months.
